The IRS Reporting Agent Authorization form, used to authorize a reporting agent—in this case, CPS—to sign, file, and make deposits and payments for certain returns, as well as receive duplicate copies of tax information and provide the IRS with information to aid in penalty relief determinations.
IRS Form SS4 – Apply for Employer Identification # (EIN)
Use this form to apply for a nine-digit Employer Identification Number (EIN), assigned to employers, sole proprietors, corporations, etc., for tax filing and reporting purposes.
IRS Online Registration – Apply for Employer Identification # (EIN)
The online version of Form SS4. This application must be completed in one session—it cannot be saved and returned to later on.
